  We saw a local back surgeon for my mother who is diagnosed with spinal stenosis. I did not think she should be operated on. The back surgeon said no problem and told me he did people older than my mother. She is 88 years old. We went to see dr. Mezo because of the issues she was having he was not quite sure that my mother was a candidate for surgery and sent us to Neuroscience Institute in Joliet to get a second opinion. After having an MRI the Neuroscience Institute Physician said my mother was not a candidate because her spinal stenosis was too severe and any surgery might compromise the ability she had to get around which was limited at best. As I do have a medical background I did not think my mom should have any back surgery. Dr. Mezo, Neuroscience Institute and I we're on the same page. If it wasn't for dr. Mezo we would not have had the second consultation by a group that I deem to be extremely knowledgeable. Dr. Mezo has his patients come 1st and his bedside manner is superb. My mother really really likes Dr Mezo when she sees him she puts on her happy face. Thank you Doctor Mezo for coming to Morris. If you want an honest opinion then Dr Mezo is who you should have. If you want a doctor who is as kind as he can be and very patient then Dr. Mezo is who you should have.
